Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how ScriptDr.app™, a trade name of AuraNovum Inc., collects, uses, and protects your information. AuraNovum Inc. is the entity responsible for the operation of ScriptDr.app and the handling of your data. At ScriptDr.app, we prioritize your privacy and the confidentiality of your creative work.
Your Uploaded Work Is Private
Your uploaded source work — whether a treatment, film screenplay, TV teleplay, book or manuscript, or interactive/branching narrative — is processed securely and is never permanently stored on our servers. We analyze your work using AI technology, provide you with feedback, and securely delete the temporary source file according to our standard 60-minute deletion policy. The original uploaded source file is temporary and is distinct from your completed analysis report, which may be saved separately (see below).
AI and Third-Party Processing
ScriptDr™ uses artificial intelligence and related technology to analyze submitted creative works.
As part of providing the analysis service, submitted content may be processed through the Base44 platform and external AI service providers.
ScriptDr™ currently uses OpenAI technology through Base44 for its primary AI analysis.
Depending on the file format and processing requirements, extracted text, portions of the submitted work, or the uploaded file may be securely transmitted for AI processing.
For PDF files that do not contain a sufficient readable text layer, Google Gemini technology may be used to perform optical character recognition (OCR) and extract the text required for analysis.
When OCR fallback is required, the PDF is provided for processing through a temporary, time-limited signed file link.
ScriptDr™ does not include the customer's name, email address or ScriptDr™ account information with the creative content sent to these external AI services for analysis or OCR processing.
Base44 provides backend infrastructure used by ScriptDr™ for processing, temporary storage, authentication and AI-service integration.
Data We Collect
When you use ScriptDr.app, we collect:
- Account information (email, name, password) — for users who create an account
- Source-work metadata (title, genre, page count) from your uploaded treatment, screenplay, teleplay, manuscript, or interactive narrative
- Usage data (features accessed, analysis dates)
- Device information (browser type, IP address)
How We Use Your Data
We use your information to provide and improve our service, authenticate users, process analyses, and send you important updates. We never sell your data to third parties.
Data Retention & Source-File Handling
Single Script: The original uploaded source file is automatically deleted within 1 hour after report generation.
ScriptDr Slate Pro and ScriptDr Slate Pipeline: Uploaded source files are processed within a secure 12-hour bulk-analysis session. The 12-hour window begins when the first script is uploaded, and temporary source files are automatically deleted when the session expires.
ScriptDr does not permanently store uploaded source files.
- Your uploaded source work is processed in memory only — never written to permanent storage.
- The temporary source file uploaded for a standard single-script analysis is securely and automatically deleted within 60 minutes after report generation.
- Your scripts or manuscripts are never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model.
- We do not retain, share, back up, or archive any uploaded source file — deletion is final and irreversible.
- You are responsible for downloading or saving your report before the 1-hour expiration window closes.
- You retain 100% intellectual property rights over all uploaded content at all times.
Saved Reports and Account History
This section is separate from source-file handling above.
For users who create an account, ScriptDr may save your completed analysis report and related report information to your My Reports area so you can revisit, export, and manage your report history.
A saved report contains only the finished analysis output — scores, notes, and generated insights. It does NOT contain your original uploaded source file, raw script or manuscript text, or extracted source content. The original source file is deleted according to the 60-minute / 12-hour policy above and is never retained as part of a saved report.
Saving a completed report is therefore different from retaining your original uploaded source work: the source file is temporary and deleted; the finished report may be kept in your account for your convenience. You may delete any saved report from My Reports at any time.
Payment and Subscription Information
For one-time purchases (Treatment Basic, Treatment Pro, and Script Individual), no ScriptDr™ account is required. For the Script10 monthly subscription, a ScriptDr™ account is required so the subscription can be associated with your account.
To manage your Script10 subscription, ScriptDr™ may retain the payment and subscription identifiers and subscription status provided by our payment processor, Stripe. These identifiers are used to associate and manage your Script10 subscription with your ScriptDr™ account.
ScriptDr™ does NOT store your full payment card number, card security code (CVC), or full card payment credentials. All payment card information is processed securely through Stripe. ScriptDr™ does not have access to your complete card details.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure connections, and regular security audits to protect your information from unauthorized access.
Cookies and Browser Storage
ScriptDr™ uses essential cookies and browser storage technologies, including localStorage and sessionStorage, to provide secure account access, remember your preferences, and support core application functionality. These technologies are strictly necessary for the service to function and do not require your consent to be enabled.
- ScriptDr™ does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
- ScriptDr™ does not currently use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any advertising or marketing tracking cookies.
- When you proceed to payment, ScriptDr™ may redirect you to Stripe-hosted pages for payment processing. Stripe may use its own cookies or similar technologies on its own services in accordance with Stripe's own privacy practices. These technologies are placed by Stripe on Stripe's domain and are not placed by ScriptDr™ on the ScriptDr domain.
Third-Party Services and Data Processing
ScriptDr uses third-party technology provided by Copyleaks for two purposes:
1. An optional Copyleaks Plagiarism & Originality Report add-on available for Book Analysis. When a Book customer purchases this optional add-on, the submitted book content may be securely processed by Copyleaks solely for the purpose of generating plagiarism and originality analysis results.
2. Enhanced AI Detection and Plagiarism Detection functionality included with ScriptDr Slate Pro. When users with ScriptDr Slate Pro access this feature, submitted content may be securely processed by Copyleaks solely for the purpose of generating AI detection, similarity, and originality analysis results.
Only Book analyses where the customer purchases the optional add-on, and Slate Pro analyses, may use Copyleaks. Book analyses without the optional add-on are not sent to Copyleaks.
ScriptDr only shares the information necessary to provide the requested service. Uploaded content remains confidential and is not used by ScriptDr to train artificial intelligence models.
Users acknowledge that third-party service providers may process data according to their own privacy and security practices. ScriptDr selects service providers that support secure handling of user content.
